Q: How fast is conversion?
VexaCut Studio uses Metal GPU acceleration and Apple VideoToolbox hardware encoding. On M-series Macs, H.264/H.265 encoding can reach 10× real-time or faster for 1080P content. Speed varies by resolution, format, and Mac model.
Q: How do I use batch conversion?
Switch to the Batch Conversion tab. Drag any number of video files into the queue. Set output format, resolution, frame rate, and audio parameters once — they apply to all files. Click Start. Each file shows its own progress bar. Failed files are marked red and can be retried individually.
Q: How do I extract lossless audio?
Go to the Audio Extraction tab. Select your video file. Choose WAV, AIFF, or CAF for linear PCM output. Select sample rate (up to 192kHz) and bit depth (up to 32-bit). Click Start. The output file is ready for direct use in any DAW.
Q: What is the difference between stretch fill and black bar fill?
Stretch Fill: Forces the video to fill the entire target resolution. No black bars, but the image may be distorted if aspect ratios differ.
Black Bar Fill: Preserves the original aspect ratio by adding black bars on the sides or top/bottom. No distortion, no cropping.
Black Bar Fill: Preserves the original aspect ratio by adding black bars on the sides or top/bottom. No distortion, no cropping.
Q: What if conversion fails?
Check that: the input file is complete and not corrupted; the output directory has write permissions; there is sufficient disk space (at least 1 GB free); the video format is supported. If the issue persists, contact support.
Q: Is VexaCut Studio safe? Does it upload my files?
Yes, completely safe. VexaCut Studio runs in macOS App Sandbox, requests no network permissions, and makes zero network connections. All processing is 100% local. Your files never leave your Mac.
Q: Which Mac models are supported?
OS: macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey) or later
Chips: Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel
GPU Acceleration: All modern Macs support Metal GPU acceleration
