Somna Sleep collects no information whatsoever. Specifically:

No personal information — no name, email, phone number, or any identifier
No usage data — no analytics, no crash reports sent externally, no behavioral tracking
No device information — no device model, OS version, or hardware identifiers
No third-party SDKs — no analytics, advertising, or social media frameworks integrated

2. How Your Data Is Processed

2.1 Fully Local Processing

All audio playback, EQ processing, and Metal GPU rendering happen entirely on your iPhone. No data ever leaves your device.

2.2 Local Storage Only

Your settings (EQ, playback mode, selected sounds) are saved locally via iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

2.3 Permissions Used

Background Audio — required to continue playing sleep sounds after the screen locks. This is the app's core function, not a misuse of background permissions.

Somna Sleep does not request microphone, camera, location, contacts, calendar, or any other sensitive permissions.

3. Network & Internet

Somna Sleep is a fully offline application:

No network permission is requested
No connections are made to any server
No files, audio, or settings are uploaded anywhere
The app works without any internet connection

4. Third-Party Services

Somna Sleep uses no third-party services of any kind — no analytics (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel), no advertising networks, no cloud storage, and no social login SDKs.

5. Children's Privacy

Somna Sleep is suitable for all ages. We do not collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

6. App Sandbox & Security

Somna Sleep runs within the iOS app sandbox. It can only access its own bundled audio files and the local settings it writes itself. It cannot access other apps' data or system-sensitive information.

7. Your Rights

Because we collect no data, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete. You have complete control over your device and your experience.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. We will never begin collecting data without clear notice and your consent.
