❓ FAQ

Q: What input format does IconForge Pro support?
IconForge Pro only accepts 1024x1024 PNG format images. This is the standard size required by Apple for app icons.
Q: What platforms are supported?
IconForge Pro supports all Apple platforms:
  • Mac: 7 sizes (16x16 to 1024x1024)
  • iPhone: 8 sizes (40x40 to 1024x1024)
  • iPad: 10 sizes (20x20 to 1024x1024)
  • watchOS: 14 sizes (48x48 to 1024x1024)
Q: What is the output structure?
IconForge Pro automatically generates a standard Xcode-compatible structure:
Assets.xcassets/AppIcon.appiconset/
This includes all icon sizes and a Contents.json configuration file. You can drag it directly into your Xcode project.
Q: What is the "Smart Rounded Corners" feature?
The smart rounded corners feature applies a golden ratio corner radius to your icons, perfectly matching Apple's design guidelines. You can toggle between rounded and square corners.
Q: Does IconForge Pro require an internet connection?
No. IconForge Pro processes everything locally on your Mac. No internet connection is required, and no data is uploaded.
Q: What is GPU acceleration?
IconForge Pro uses Metal framework to leverage your Mac's GPU for faster processing. This makes conversion 10-50x faster than traditional methods. If GPU is unavailable, it automatically falls back to CPU processing.
Q: What if the output directory already exists?
IconForge Pro will show a warning dialog if Assets.xcassets already exists in the output directory. You can choose to cancel or overwrite the existing files.
Q: What are the system requirements?
IconForge Pro requires:
  • macOS 12.7.6 or later
  • Supports all Mac devices (13-32 inch displays)
  • Works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs

  • Ensure your PNG file is not corrupted
